Here’s the simple Q4 repricing playbook startingtoday:

1) Today/tomorrow: switch into “peak harvest” mode

If your repricer is still running on your normal year-round floors, you’re about to donate margin.

What to do right now:

  • Raise/confirm yourQ4 floor above your normal floor

  • If you’re already in the Buy Box rotation,don’t chase every undercutter

  • Some sellers go irrational in December — let them

Early peak week is not the time to race to the bottom.

2) Dec 10–20: hold price and harvest margin

This is when buyers show up ready to pay.

Rules for peak week:

  • Live inthe upper half of the Buy Box rotation range

  • Only reprice down if:

    a.) you lose Buy Box for a sustained stretch

    b.) the market genuinely moved (not one seller dumping)

If you panic-drop during this window, you usually regret it.

3) After Dec 20: two different strategies

Everything splits intoseasonal flips vs evergreen replenishables.

  • Seasonal/gift items:start ratcheting floors down after Dec 20 to exit before January

  • Evergreen items: return to your normal floors — no need to dump

A quick example:

If your buy cost is $18 and your normal floor is $32…
In early December you might raise the floor to $35–36, hold through peak week, then drop back toward $32 only after Dec 20 if units aren’t moving. Same item, three different goals across three weeks.
