Welcome back to Seller Snacks, your weekly buffet of ecommerce goodness.

📣 We’re entering one of the most important stretches of the year for Amazon sellers.

From May onward, demand ramps up – Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Prime Day, Back-to-School…opportunities come fast.

The sellers who win don’t just take advantage of these peak shopping seasons. They’re also plugged into consistent, evergreen sourcing pipelines that serve as the backbones of their OA businesses.

That’s exactly the type of leads we focus on with our lead lists.

Each lead in our Premium 44 and Elite 22 daily lead lists is filtered for:

  • stable pricing
  • real demand
  • consistency across market conditions

So instead of chasing spikes, you’re building a pipeline that performs year-round.

Prefer to test first? Our one-off, no subscription-required $29 Mercury lists drop twice a week, and your purchase gets credited toward your first month if you scale.

Bite-sized insights to help you sell smarter.

📦 What’s Happening: Prime Day Is Moving Earlier (and So Are the Deadlines)

Amazon is pulling key Prime Day deadlines forward: deal scheduling, promotions, and most importantly, inventory cutoff dates are now in late May to early June.

  • May 27, 2026: Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) shipments
  • May 27, 2026: FBA shipments with “minimal shipment splits” option selected
  • June 5, 2026: FBA shipments with “Amazon-optimized shipment splits” option selected

While Amazon hasn’t officially confirmed dates, everything points to Prime Day landing late- June instead of July.

📈 Why It Matters: Your Buying Window Just Got Shorter

For OA sellers, this shifts everything forward.

You now have less time to source, test, and send inventory before one of the biggest sales events of the year.

That creates pressure in a few key areas:

  • Earlier capital deployment → you’ll need to start buying sooner
  • Less tolerance for slow movers → inventory needs to turn faster
  • Tighter decision windows → less time to “wait and see” on borderline leads

If you’re late, you don’t just miss Prime Day; you also miss the pre-event demand ramp, which is where a lot of the volume happens.

📋 What to Do: Adjust Now, Not in May

✅ Start sourcing for Prime Day earlier than usual

✅ Prioritize faster-moving SKUs with proven demand

✅ Be more selective; avoid tying up cash in slower inventory

✅ Send inventory in smaller, more frequent batches to reduce risk

✅ Build in buffer for shipping delays (don’t cut it close to deadlines)

✅ Watch sell-through closely. Reorder quickly on winners

Bottom line:

This year isn’t about timing it perfectly; it’s about being early enough to matter.

Bite-sized tips to boost your flips.

🔗 5 Forces Crushing Private Label Sellers That Are Quietly Creating a Golden Age for Amazon Resellers

Private label is getting more expensive, more competitive, and harder to scale. However, according to the Olsons, that shift is quietly benefiting resellers. Stronger brand presence, more gating, and rising ad costs are all making it tougher to launch products… while making existing listings more valuable.

Takeaway: Resellers aren’t fighting to create demand; they’re plugging into it. If you’re building around established brands, the current market actually works in your favor.

🔗 The Right Way to Use Cashback in Online Arbitrage

Cashback can boost margins, but it’s also one of the easiest ways to trick yourself into bad buys. The key idea: if a deal doesn’t work without cashback, it’s not a strong deal.

We also break down the accounting side: why cashback isn’t real income and why reducing your costs with it can mess up your numbers long-term.

Takeaway: treat cashback as a bonus, not a strategy. Strong deals should stand on their own.

🔗 ICYMI: Dead Inventory on Amazon? Here’s a Simple Playbook to Fix It (Fast)

Dead inventory isn’t just annoying; it’s a cash flow problem. This article breaks down a simple playbook: identify slow SKUs, cut prices to force movement, and set hard exit rules so you’re not stuck holding inventory for months.

Takeaway: when something isn’t moving, your job isn’t to “wait it out”; it’s to free up cash and redeploy it into better buys.

🍄 Mental Snacks

Quick Bites. Sharper Decisions.

What you ignore matters just as much as what you act on.

Most sellers focus on doing more: more leads to analyze, more buys, more action.

But every “yes” costs you: capital, time, and risk.

And those aren’t unlimited.

The problem is, bad decisions rarely look bad.
Often, they look good enough – decent ROI, okay sales, nothing obviously wrong.

That’s where things break down.

You don’t lose from obvious mistakes.
You lose from stacking too many average buys—the ones that sit longer than expected, tie up cash, and quietly slow your momentum.

Because every dollar stuck in a “meh” lead is a dollar you can’t use on a great one.

The goal isn’t to catch everything.
It’s to protect your capital so you’re ready when the right opportunities show up.

💡 This week, focus less on how many leads you can say yes to, and more on how many you can confidently pass on.

🔥 Flip of the Week: Deep Dive

The numbers, the Keepa read, and what makes this a scalable OA buy.

For this week, we’re going to give you an example of what initially looked like a top lead, but only made it to our “scraps” list because of what we saw in the Keepa chart.

blank

Alpecin Gray Attack Caffeine & Color Shampoo

  • Sourced from the Container Store
  • $18.37 buy → $35.45 sell
  • $7 profit / 40% ROI
  • 29 sales/month

On paper, it checks the boxes: healthy margin, decent sales, no obvious red flags.

But the problem shows up when you zoom out.

blank

The price has been climbing over the past few months. Sounds good… until you notice what happened after the jump: sales slowed and rank got worse. Compare the movement from Nov to early Jan vs now – it’s clearly weaker.

That’s the trap.

The current ROI is being propped up by a higher price, but demand isn’t as strong at that level. If the price dips back (which is common after spikes), your margin shrinks fast, and with an $18+ buy cost, that’s not a lot of room for error.

Takeaway: when you see a price increase, always compare sales velocity before vs after. A higher price with weaker movement is a warning sign, not a win.

💡 This is exactly the kind of lead we drop into Scrapsextra opportunities that could work, but didn’t make the cut for this week's top leads.

Skip the Guesswork

This is the same kind of filtering we apply in our Premium 44 and Elite 22 lead lists.

We’re not just looking at potential profit and ROI; we’re also looking at:

  • price behavior
  • post-spike sales movement
  • stability under different conditions

So instead of second-guessing charts like this…

you’re starting with leads that already pass those checks.

If your goal is to increase your daily inventory buys without burning time on risky leads, we can deliver 10+ pre-vetted OA leads straight to your inbox every weekday. Our lists can also cut your sourcing time by as much as 70%.

🍿 Snacktacular Spotlight

Each week we highlight a tool, strategy, or resource helping Amazon sellers snack smarter.

This week’s spotlight is on…

🏗️ The Modern Builder’s Stack –Brian and Robin Joy Olson share the full workflow they run their successful reselling business on.

blank

Brian and Robin Joy Olson are launching the Modern Builders Stack on May 1st. It’s a bundle of four courses that map out their full Amazon resale workflow from start to finish.

It includes:

  • Modern Ungating (rebuilt with a much larger dataset)
  • Sourcing Solved
  • Keepa Quickstart
  • Keepa Deep Dive

The core idea is simple: instead of chasing random leads, you build your own working catalog first, then evaluate from there. One case study Brian shared was a student seller who went from 2 testable leads to 386, just by changing how they built their pipeline using Brian and Robin Joy’s methods.

Why this matters for OA: this is very much a systems-first approach. Less “hunt and hope,” more “build and filter.” If you’ve ever felt stuck refreshing the same storefronts, this is pointing in a different direction: create your own data, then mine it.

📌 Key detail: there’s a $100 discount if you join the waitlist before Thursday night. Once the page goes live, the waitlist closes, and after that, it’s full price.

If you’re even considering it, get on the list now and decide later. Worst case, you save yourself $100.

2. Direct access to brands and wholesalers actively approving sellers on-site.

🔗 Amazon Lending in 2026

Quick breakdown from Aura of what actually happened to Amazon Lending. It didn’t disappear, it shifted to a third-party marketplace model where providers like Parafin, Lendistry, and others now fund sellers instead of Amazon directly. Still invite-only, still based on your Seller Central performance.

Highlight for OA sellers: most people still think lending is “gone,” but it’s not – you just need to hit the right performance signals to get offers. If you’re scaling and need capital for inventory, this is one of those behind-the-scenes levers worth understanding early.

📌 Aura is a repricer which uses AI-powered, real-time, 10-second speed repricing that prioritizes profit margins over chasing the lowest price. Recommended for higher-volume OA sellers, it comes with a free 14-day trial.

🔗 FBA Inbound Discrepancies & Stranded Inventory (What To Do)

Great breakdown of two common (and expensive) issues: inbound shipment discrepancies and stranded inventory, both of which can quietly eat into your margins. Right now, some shipments from early April are taking longer to reconcile, and when that overlaps with stranded inventory alerts, things can spiral fast.

Highlight for OA sellers: delays + stranded listings = lost sales, storage fees, and cash flow pressure. If you’re not actively auditing shipments and fixing stranded inventory, this is where profit starts leaking without you noticing.
